Serving families based in North America
Andrew Kittell, Director of Corporate Relations
Located conveniently near Washington, DC, our North American
Office (NAO) serves the needs of ACS's prospective families and the
companies that support them. Additionally, the NAO extends our
London-based schools' daily availability to families across North
America, allowing the type of personalised service for which ACS is
so well known.
ACS fully understands the dual demands and challenges of
balancing a mobile career with family life. As thought leaders in
the field of international education fully engaged in the global
mobility industry, we actively contribute to such leading
organisations as the:
- National Foreign Trade Council
- Society for Human Resource Management's Global Forum
- British-American Business Council
- Families in Global Transition
- Worldwide Employee Relocation Council
- Parents League of New York
- Canadian Employee Relocation Council
- Independent Educational Consultants Association.
Each year NAO staff traverse North America regularly, visiting
nearby Washington, DC, as well as New York, Boston, Houston,
Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Canadian
stops have included Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, and
Vancouver.
During these regional visits, team members meet with prospective
ACS parents, their children, and key international human resources
and relocation professionals, educating them about our three-campus
school system, its impressive academic offerings, and the
extraordinary support ACS offers families in transition. Other
regional events have included ACS Alumni & Friends Association
gatherings, fundraisers for youth-serving ACS Foundation-supported
programmes, and exhibitions and presentations during global
mobility conferences.
ACS actively recruits experienced professional educators
throughout North America and around the globe. An active North
American travel schedule means ACS can meet outstanding teacher
candidates in their hometowns, sometimes even visiting their
schools and classrooms.
Within 15 miles of Baltimore-Washington International Airport,
the NAO welcomes visitors year round. Our North American team
is here to help ACS's prospective families, their sponsoring
companies, our Foundation's partners, prospective teachers, and ACS
Alumni and Friends Association members residing throughout the US
and Canada.
We hope to hear from you in the near future, and look forward to
discussing how ACS can best serve you and your family.
