Girls Varsity
Section
On Day 1 Cobham Girls Varsity held onto victory and set the tone
for how they were going to play on Day 2. Against the Panthers from
Vienna International School they almost threw the game in the dying
seconds, but managed to hold onto a 1-point win.

The varsity girls' basketball team played, against Munich, with
positive mind-sets and great passion to win, which definitely paid
off.
They had many amazing layups, played in heavy traffic, solid free
throws, and they drew many smart fouls from Munich. Even though the
girls were running back and forth on court, they stayed ahead of
the Bobcats from start to finish.
Our girls played another physical game with many slides, falls
and slams. But throughout each fall, missed shot, or a score by
Munich, the girls on the bench and out on court never missed a
chance to encourage one another. No matter what happened in the
game, the Cougar girls kept their heads high and won the game,
which led to their first place victory in the overall
tournament.
