At ACS Doha International School, we believe every student
should be inspired and challenged to reach their full potential. We
bring the philosophy and approach of our established UK schools to
our Doha campus and combine them with a programme that integrates
the local traditions, culture and history of Qatar.
The Programme
Initially we are offering our prestigious Early Years, Lower
School, and Middle School curriculums, based on globally recognised
American and international standards, with an aim to deliver the
same range of academic programmes successfully offered at our three
UK campuses [learn more].
We are delighted to announce that ACS Doha is now a
candidate school* for the IB Middle Years Programme. The
school is pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. These are
schools that share a common philosophy - a commitment to high
quality, challenging, international education that ACS Doha
believes is important for our students.
As the campus develops a High School we will also seek
authorisation to offer prestigious US College Board Advanced
Placement (AP) courses. ACS Doha will also offer an American High
School Honours Diploma. The school will shortly be a member of the
Council of International Schools.
The Doha campus offers a rigorous academic curriculum of
English, mathematics, science, humanities, world languages, and
fine arts. Our programme challenges students to become independent,
reflective, inquiring, and knowledgeable; confident communicators
who are principled, open-minded and caring; socially and
emotionally intelligent and able to embrace the importance of a
healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Our Goal
Teachers emphasise active learning, using a student-centred
approach and a variety of assessment techniques. Although our
programme is challenging, we seek to provide support (English as an
Additional Language (EAL) and Learning Support) to those who
require it, ensuring that every child has the potential to be
successful. Our goal is to equip our students to succeed at every
age, attend the university of their choice anywhere in the world,
and go on and live fulfilling and meaningful lives.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer
any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme
(PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme
(and in addition the IB Career-related Certificate).
