Genuine academic choice
At ACS Doha International School, we believe every student
should be inspired and challenged to reach their full potential. We
bring the philosophy and approach of our established UK schools to
our Doha campus and combine them with a programme that integrates
the local traditions, culture and history of Qatar.
Initially we are offering our prestigious Early Years, Lower
School, and Middle School curriculums, based on globally recognised
American and international standards, with an aim to deliver a
similar range of academic programmes successfully offered at our
three UK campuses [learn more]. The
school will shortly be a member of the Council of International
Schools.
We are dlighted to announce that ACS Doha is now a
candidate school* for the IB Middle Years Programme. The
school is pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. These are
schools that share a common philosophy - a commitment to high
quality, challenging, international education that ACS Doha
believes is important for our students.
ACS Doha is non-sectarian and co-educational, founded on strong
partnerships between parents, teachers, and students. The language
of instruction is English.
Student enrolment is scheduled to open September 2011
for:
- Early Childhood Pre-K through Kindergarten (ages 3-5)
- Lower School grades 1-5 (ages 6-11)
- Middle School grades 6-8 (ages 11-14)
We currently expect to open High School enrolment as
follows:
- September 2012 for Grade 9 (ages 14-15)
- September 2013 for Grade 10 (ages 15-16)
- September 2014 for Grade 11 (ages 16-17)
- September 2015 for Grade 12 (ages 17-18)
*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer
any of its three academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme
(PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme
(and in addition the IB Career-related Certificate).
