ACS Egham School Fees 2012/13

 

Application & Deposit
An application fee of £150 must accompany each application form. This non-refundable fee covers all administrative work involved in processing an application.

A non-refundable deposit of £1,000 must be received after a student has been accepted and before a place can be secured. A deposit of £2,000 is required for students when the period between the date of acceptance and the student's start date is 20 days or less. The deposit is applied towards the second semester tuition charges.

ACS accepts the following debit and credit cards for payment of application and deposit fees:

In addition, we also accept the application and deposit payment by cash, cheque and direct bank transfer.  For further information and/or to arrange any other method of payment, please contact the School's Admissions office.

School Fees
Payment of school fees can be made by any of the following methods:

  • Cash
  • Sterling cheque drawn on a UK bank account
  • Sterling cheque drawn on a foreign bank account
  • US Dollar cheque drawn on an American bank account
  • Direct payment (i.e. BACS, wire transfer, etc)
  • Any of the debit or credit cards shown above

Please note that payments by credit card are subject to a 2.5% handling charge. Also any bank charges incurred by other payment methods will be debited to your child's school fees account and further payment will be required to settle such charges.

Conditions of Admissions
School fees are payable by semester in advance, and accounts must be settled in full on or before the first day of each term. Interest will be charged on overdue fees accounts. Students will not be allowed to start school until invoices have been settled.

Debentures
A parent or guardian of each student in Grades K-13 is required to subscribe for a debenture of £250 in each of the first two semesters of attendance. The debentures are intended to provide the School with capital to help meet the cost of the ongoing improvement of the School's overall programme.

Day tuition
The tuition fees, per semester (two semesters) are as follows and include the loan of textbooks, laboratory fees, classroom materials and curriculum related school field trips that take place within a single day.

Overnight field trips are part of the curriculum and the costs are in addition to the school fees.  There is one extended field trip per grade level (grades 4-9), with an expected cost varying between £200 - £600 depending on the trip.  Invoices will be issued to families prior to the trip.

Bus service
The fees for bus service (per student, per semester) are as follows:

There is a reduction in the door-to-door charge for siblings, when two or more are collected at the same house:

Invoices
Invoices for the 2012/2013 academic year will be issued and due on the following dates:

1st Semester Invoice issue date 8th June, 2012
1st Semester Invoice due date 29th June, 2012
2nd Semester Invoice issue date 5th November, 2012
2nd Semester Invoice due date 19th November, 2012

Text books
A set of textbooks is loaned to each student. At the end of the year, or earlier for transferring students, the books must be returned in the condition in which they were issued, allowance being made for fair wear and tear.

A charge will be made for textbooks/library books lost or damaged beyond the accepted standard.
