Welcome from High School Principal, Richard Naylor

The High School at ACS Egham is a very special international learning environment. It has a highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty, administrators and support staff to provide a caring, challenging and stimulating education for our students and a close network for our parents.

With over 185 High School students from 32 different nationalities, our students' education is enriched by the cultural diversity of our community, by small class sizes, facilities well equipped with the latest tools and technology and the natural beauty of our green and safe campus.

ACS Egham students and adults are lifelong learners with a passion for achievement.  As an IB World School, we embrace the mission of the International Baccalaureate Organisation and its fundamental concepts of holistic education, internationalism and communication.

Our students are reflective, knowledgeable thinkers and inquirers; they are confident communicators who are principled, open-minded and caring; they are independent and appreciate the importance of a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Our students are global citizens and young leaders with a concern about the future of our planet and its inhabitants and they are equipped with the skills to meet the demands of our 21st century world.

The IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes provide our graduates with a superior preparation for further education, securing them placements at top universities worldwide.  This year we are once again very proud of our IB Diploma pass rate and average scores well above the world norm. These outstanding results are a tribute to the hard work of our students, teaching faculty and supportive parents.

Central to the school's vision is the belief that every student will be provided with the opportunity to achieve more than they believe they can. Our experienced international staff, including a full time counsellor, college counsellor and Student Services team of English language, learning and enrichment support teachers and coordinators work with students and parents in a partnership to maximize every student's potential.

Our students take advantage of multiple academic and extracurricular opportunities to develop new interests and talents. We are proud of our Athletics, Visual, Creative and Performing Arts programmes. Our students are actively involved in community and service, international award schemes, represent the school at Beijing Model United Nations and engage in project and outward-bound activities in Kenya. Field trips enrich our curriculum and help our students develop team building and leadership skills both locally and overseas.

There are opportunities for parents to learn more about the ACS Egham curriculum and the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes through Open House, parent conferences, workshops and regular communication. You will find that our door is always open and we welcome community feedback to help us continue to provide the very best educational experience for every student.

I am truly proud to be a part of the team of staff at ACS Egham. My 20 years in education have taken me from the north of England to Scotland, London, Russia and most recently China where I have been fortunate to work alongside students, teachers, parents and support staff from many nationalities and backgrounds and know that those who experience an international education have one of the finest preparations for life.
