Pendle Court Residents Share Holiday Cheer
05 December 2011
We have invited the residents of Pendle Court into our lower
school for about thirty years, and it was great to have them back.
Our first graders gave a delightful performance and our fourth
grade students did a wonderful job hosting.

This year some of our students joined our guests at the table.
We have received two handwritten thank you notes from our
guests:
To all at ACS School,
I am writing to say a big thank you to all who took part in
what you did for us from Pendle Court on Friday. It was my first
visit and I was enchanted by the lovely children. They were so
polite and showed us such respect. The singing was great and when
we sat down to eat it was all so good. I especially would like to
thank Izzy and Lila who were with me on my table. They were
wonderful and their parents should be proud of them (I'm sure they
are). I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New
Year and thank you so much for a lovely afternoon.
and

Thank you so much for the lovely afternoon you gave us on
Friday. I enjoyed the time I spent with you all and a special thank
you to the charming little girl who sat next to me, who also played
the piano. Many thanks to you all and a Happy Christmas.
This letter refers to Aoi.

Thank you to everyone at school for the incredible teamwork in
the organisation and hosting of our visitors: all students in
grades 4 and 1; all students who designed and made cards; all
students who presented cards; Debbie Murphy; Lois Mattson; Helen
Street; Helen McCurry; Jenny Budke, Sue Wakefield; all classroom
teachers for their help with cards; assistant teachers Sharon
Gentry and Chris Petanjek; maintenance, Angela Tunstall, and
Hillingdon Security.

In addition, thank you to the many parents who generously
contributed gifts and food. Finally, a huge thank you to lead
parent Jessica Bellone, her assistants Krishna Banthia, and Becki
Seddon, and all the mothers who helped on the day (Roni Milich,
Sabrina Dolan, Diane Havlinek, Jessica Pappas, and Jennifer Hill).
This is really a team effort and we could not do this without
wonderful parental support!
