ACS International Schools in America Inc.

ACS International Schools in America Inc. is a non-profit organisation based on the East Coast that supports education around the world. Our mission is to raise awareness of and support for ACS International Schools education allowing more students to benefit from the wonderful opportunities offered by the schools, and help change lives.

We all have a stake in the future, and through your support, you have the power to help young people fulfil their potential and to offer students the best opportunity to succeed.

Learning happens everywhere – in the classroom, through opportunities and activities beyond the classroom, on the sports field and through meeting the melting pot of nationalities that make up our school communities. At the heart of our teaching we value and inspire each student’s individuality; encouraging each to take responsibility for their actions and to see themselves as reflective global citizens who can contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable world.

The Excellence Fund

The Excellence Fund provides important philanthropic support to get our students ready for what comes next. Our fundraising program takes two forms: scholarships – giving deserving young people the transformational opportunity to thrive in one of our schools – and also capital projects – giving these talented students the facilities to inspire them to be the best they can be. This is in addition to funding that ACS International Schools already provides.

Your support is critical to deliver our aims as a alumni-led tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit, ACS International Schools in America. Now in our second year, your donation can help us reach our $100,000 target.

Please join us to help talented students get ready for an ever-changing world.

Inspirational Spaces

We want to inspire future generations and ACS’ historic architecture plays an important part in enriching the students’ lives. The physical infrastructure of each ACS school provides an important platform for the students’ ability to reach their goals. It is not just a matter of walls and a roof. The learning environment also needs to offer the appropriate facilities and equipment for vital teaching and student enquiry.

Opportunities and spaces to engage, interact, and inspire are key to ensuring each student achieves their personal, academic and social potential. ACS are committed to providing stimulating teaching spaces, such as laboratories, libraries and facilities enabling students to collaborate in new ways. The schools' vision is to continue to serve the teaching staff and students, through reconfiguring and redefining its teaching spaces and ensure its students have access to the highest quality technology and facilities and be ready for whatever the future holds.

You can support campus development at any of our UK schools.

If you would like to discuss this, please contact Amba Shirfield, Vice President, Development (Global) on ashirfield@acs-schools.com or telephone + 44 1932 584239.

I donated to ACS in America to give an academically able and highly deserving young person a chance to experience something of the life-changing benefits I enjoyed attending a world class international school.

SCHOLARSHIPS – for both the BSSP and full-time study at ACS schools, to bring these incredible opportunities to more students.

CAPITAL PROJECTS – your gift will help to create and accelerate state-of-the-art learning spaces across our UK campuses, that will have immediate impact and value. Your generosity will enable ACS to continue to broaden student access and deliver the best education and environment for our students.

ACS is an ocean of cultures. It is very diverse, and I have met people from all over the world. I’m not daunted by the thought of working and studying in other countries now. At ACS, students are encouraged to learn about each other as well as our chosen subjects which means we developed a deeper understanding of other cultures and languages – it’s a knowledge for life.

I have made it my mission to ‘pay it forward’ to students like me who have the capacity to succeed internationally, but who just need a bit of help getting there. So much of my life has been made possible by the generosity of donors to the British Studies Summer Program. I am so incredibly grateful. Thank you.
