Caroline Rennie

Deputy Head of School

Caroline Rennie, our Deputy Head of School, has over twenty years of experience working in international education. Her career has seen her take on teaching and leadership roles across the Asia-Pacific region, including in New Zealand, Fiji, Japan, Korea and, most recently, in China, where she held the position of Vice Principal and Deputy Head of School at the Overseas Chinese Academy, Suzhou. Caroline holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in foreign languages and literature from the University of Waikato, and has successfully completed the Education University of Hong Kong’s Executive Master of Arts programme in educational leadership.

Caroline strongly believes in the values that form the core of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme: learning through enquiry, global-mindedness and service within the community. Caroline has been part of the IB Educators Network since 2002 and currently serves as the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Lead Educator for the Asia-Pacific region. In this capacity, she functions as a consultant, workshop leader, trainer and school visitor for the purposes of authorisation and verification. She writes curriculum guides and, together with other IB educators, works to define best practices in international teaching.
