About the Programme
The Lower School programme covers Grades 1 to 5 (ages 6 to 11). Part of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), which is taught across 109 countries, the Lower School curriculum allows students to continue on the learning journey they commenced as part of the ACS Early Childhood programme or at a kindergarten elsewhere. Our Lower School programme focuses on enquiry-based learning within a child-centric environment that is open and accessible to all.

We encourage invention and creativity as our students adapt their knowledge to new findings and new expectations.
International-mindedness is an underlying ethos. Students explore and appreciate their own mother tongues, culture and identity and to learn to communicate and develop alongside others, no matter what their background or nationality.
Our students leave Lower School as confident and respectful individuals, aware of their strengths and abilities, and ready for the challenges of Middle School.
