Donia Darwish, ACS Doha Class of 2016

“I really enjoyed being part of ACS Doha and making international friendships. As a member of the first-ever graduating class I left feeling well prepared for university,” she said. “My teachers were hugely supportive and gave me lots of opportunity to develop, both academically and personally. It’s a time I will never forget!”

ACS Cobham Alumni Story

Although only recently graduated from ACS Doha, Donia has maturity beyond her years and reflects with great passion on her time at the school.

“I really enjoyed being part of ACS Doha and making international friendships. As a member of the first-ever graduating class I left feeling well prepared for university,” she said. “My teachers were hugely supportive and gave me lots of opportunity to develop, both academically and personally. It’s a time I will never forget!”

In her final year at ACS Doha she was voted ‘Class Historian’ by her classmates to represent the character, personality and experience of the graduating year group at Graduation. Even though she was the youngest in her year group, Donia formed deep bonds with her classmates which she says will last a lifetime.

“The friends I made at ACS Doha will be my friends for life no matter where in the world we all end up. The supportive atmosphere created by the teachers really served to unite us as a year group, giving us the motivation and encouragement we needed to focus on our studies,” said Donia.

Donia is currently studying at the American University in Cairo, Egypt.
