Adam D'Arcy

College Counsellor

Adam D’Arcy joined ACS Egham in September 2018 following seven years in Student Recruitment & Admissions at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. Before graduating from the University of Strathclyde with a BA(Hons) in 2011, Mr D’Arcy completed his ERASMUS year as an English Teaching Assistant at IES La Cala de Mijas Bilingual School on Spain’s Costa del Sol, where he tutored a diverse community of students from across Europe. On graduation, Mr D’Arcy spent a year working as a specialist university preparation and admissions tutor on the University of Glasgow’s award-winning Top-Up programme for low-progression schools.

Mr D’Arcy travelled across the UK and EU as a Student Recruitment Officer between 2012 and 2017, visiting hundreds of independent, grammar and state schools. During these years, he advised thousands of students, parents and teachers on the UCAS application process. Mr D’Arcy moved into the International Office for his final year at Glasgow, taking up a position as the University’s representative in the North-eastern United States. While in the States, Mr D’Arcy developed his knowledge of the US university application process and built a network of contacts at some of America’s top colleges. He is a member of the International Association of College and Admissions Counselling, and is thrilled to be able to share his knowledge and experience with the students, parents and staff of ACS Egham.
