Bursary places now available at ACS International School Egham
ACS International School Egham is now accepting applications from local families for its 2022/23 bursary programme, enabling a number of young people to receive subsidised or fully-funded places at the school.
ACS Egham is currently home to 600 students, aged 4 to 18, and 160 expert faculty and staff from all around the world. ACS Egham is the first and only school in the UK fully authorised to offer all four of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes, providing its students with a rigorous education that fosters a sense of international mindedness, as well as personal responsibility. Based in the borough of Runnymede but just 25 miles from London, ACS Egham is nestled within 20 acres of countryside, creating a village community feel at the school.
The school is offering Middle School bursaries for students aged 11 or 13 entering Grades 6 and 8 (equivalent to UK Years 7 and 9), as well as High School bursaries for students aged 16 entering Grade 11 (equivalent to UK Year 12). High School applicants will have the opportunity to study the highly regarded IB Diploma Programme (DP), and will be predicted to achieve in the region of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at level 7, in order to receive the bursary.
ACS Egham bursaries are offered to students who are most likely to benefit from an ACS education, but whose family circumstances mean they cannot meet the full school fees. All bursaries are means-tested and range from 10% of tuition fees up to 100% for families most in need. Financial awards are offered for up to seven years. ACS International Schools currently has 4O students from local families who receive a bursary from one of its three UK schools in Hillingdon, Egham and Cobham, and has invested over £1million in this scheme to date.
An ACS Egham parent who received bursary support commented:
ACS has been far more than a school to my children, it allowed them to learn, practise, enhance personal skills and learn how to live in a world where diversity and inclusion matters. The school helped my children to develop their interests which helped them set their future plans. ACS has also impacted my children beyond school hours; the varied sports courses they offer have motivated my children to pursue the sports they love, to learn new sports and improve their skills throughout.
