ACS students recognised at Student Film Festival

Fifteen ACS International School students from Hillingdon, recently attended the European Student Film Festival in Amsterdam.

The Festival brings together students from around the world who share a passion for filmmaking and allows them to work together and learn more about the craft. During the festival, ACS students attended a showcase of a number of award-winning short films.

Amongst the films aired, a film from ACS Hillingdon, titled “Dial” was nominated and received a certificate of recognition. You can watch the students’ film here. ACS Hillingdon students exploring Amsterdam as part of the Festival, three teams of ACS Hillingdon students were tasked with creating films for a one-day challenge.

All three groups produced excellent films that will form part of the IB students’ portfolios. Andy Groark, Film Teacher at ACS Hillingdon said: “The trip was an excellent chance to bring the film students from Grades 9-12 together, and they all showed tremendous positivity and enthusiasm throughout the festival. It was a great experience that inspires students to share their stories on an international stage and elevates their skills to a professional level. We can’t wait to see what they will produce for next year’s festival.”
