Asil Al-Shammari has 11 years of teaching experience in Computer Science in both the UK and Morocco. Before joining ACS Hillingdon, she was a school counsellor at The American School of Marrakesh for six years, where she guided students through the AP program and placed them in top schools across America, Canada, the UK, and Europe. Her students have successfully achieved placements in universities such as Stanford, the UCs, SciencesPo, and Russell Group Schools to name a few.
She is passionate about nurturing and caring for students, helping them discover their full potential in and out of the academic arena. She enjoys building collaborative relationships with external community service providers and special schools that give students the opportunity to undertake challenges that help them to understand their capabilities and reach their individual potential. Asil is currently undertaking a diploma in youth counselling and will be embarking on a masters in career management at Canterbury Christ Church University.
