Russell’s career combines executive roles in corporate banking and wealth management and the charitable sector, with non-executive roles in charity, philanthropy and education. He currently leads HSBC Private Banking’s UK Philanthropy and Social Investment practice as well as the Family Governance and Family Enterprise Succession practice.
He has extensive experience working with charities including the Charities Aid Foundation where he was Executive Director; the Bell Educational Trust of which he is currently Chair; as well as having been a Trustee and Non-Executive Director of a number of charitable foundations across the globe, including an international business school. He chaired the UK Finance Hub and was a Governing Council Member of the European Foundation Council.
Russell has a keen interest in the development of international philanthropy and education in particular.
