ACS has two new opportunities to support our Lower School students (ages 4-10) with extended day wraparound care after school, during term time only. The club is designed to offer a variety of age-appropriate activities and a supportive environment for students to complete their homework.
The hours are (term time only):
- 3:30pm – 6pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
- 2:30pm – 6pm Wednesdays.
Two roles will be available, one as a coordinator of the club and the second as an assistant. The salary will depend on relevant experience and any child care qualifications. Start date 22nd April 2025.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Planning & Organisation
- Maintain, developing and review a full and varied programme of activities appropriate to the various age groups
- Assist with organising sign-ups and payments
- Keep records of attendance
- Ensure rooms are available and well set out with appropriate equipment
- Track late bus students and communicate with parents and school staff as required.
2. Communication
- Promote the After School Club to parents using various methods and materials
- Liaise with teachers and Co-Curricular Activities to ensure smooth running of the after-school club
- Liaise with transport coordinator daily to ensure all students are registered for late buses
- Communicate with parents over late bus changes
- Ensures the ACS Community enjoy a first class customer service experience.
3. Child Safety
- Ensure children are escorted across campus and are supervised at all times
- Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to
- Ensure First Aid is administered appropriately
- Ensure students are safely escorted to buses and or picked up by parents
- Wait with students until picked up by parents.
4. Other Duties
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality and diplomacy, responding appropriately and promptly to students, staff and visitors
- To provide an effective liaison between departments
- To attend meetings as required
- To attend and contribute to cross-organisation meetings, and other school committees / forums as required
- To undertake any other such duties or general tasks and hours of work as may reasonably be required and working in other locations within the ACS International Schools group.

5. Safeguarding

The protection of our students’ welfare is the responsibility of all staff within ACS International Schools and individuals are expected to conduct themselves in a way that reflects the principles of our organisation.
Completion of appropriate Safeguarding and Child Protection training is a condition of your on-going employment at ACS International Schools and understanding and use of the ACS Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. Any incidents of concern must be reported whether they take place on school grounds or online.
All activities outlined in the job description must be consistent with student safeguarding and the safety of everyone on any of the ACS International Schools campuses.
The successful applicants will be required to complete DBS checks.
