ACS International School Cobham is recruiting for a General Assistant to join the catering team. We are seeking an experienced assistant with a good sense of customer service values and people skills, to build on what is already a fantastic team.
About ACS Catering:
We offer a diverse and varied menu using the freshest ingredients available to us, over 90% of our food is prepared and cooked in house with all the latest trends, and as an independent school we are fortunate to have the funds for top quality equipment and produce.
Customers – we currently have just over 1300 students and 300 staff at Cobham. 200 are boarding students. The students and staff are truly international, giving us the opportunity to not only promote equality but to be able offer a variety of cuisines from all around the world.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- To adhere to and actively work within the guidelines of the HACCP policy
- To have a joint responsibility in preparing the Food Court for service
- To operate tills points during this service and deal with customer queries
- To set up, serve and clean down service areas after the school service
- Liaise with the Duty Chef and the supervisors.
Skills and Experience:
- Good communication skills
- Sufficient numeracy skills to operate tills
- Literacy skills to understand and fill out HACCP checklists
- A passion for food and great customer service is essential
- Experience in a similar food service job is preferred although training will be provided
- Due to location, own transportation is highly recommended.
Working hours and schedule:
Term time only role working Monday – Friday (42 weeks)
Week 1: 06:30 – 14:30, Week 2 11:00 – 19:00
Based at Cobham Campus, Portsmouth Road, KT11 1BL.
