ACS International School Cobham is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic catering team. The role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our kitchen and dining facilities, ensuring a high standard of service for our students and staff.
Start date: 11 August 2025
Closing date: 27 July 2025
Contract: Term-time only
Hours: 40 hours per week (on a two-week rota: 07:00–15:00 / 11:00–19:00)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and food court areas, including equipment, cutlery, and crockery.
- Ensure service areas are set up, cleared, and cleaned down after meal times.
- Support the catering team with food service preparation, including assistance during school events.
- Operate dishwashing and other kitchen equipment in accordance with training and safety guidelines.
- Adhere to Health & Safety, COSHH, and HACCP policies at all times.
- Complete and sign daily cleaning checklists to maintain hygiene standards.
- Support the team in any additional reasonable duties as directed by the Catering Manager or Sous Chef.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable; however, full training will be provided.
- Basic literacy skills sufficient to complete checklists and training modules.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
- Strong customer service approach.
- Own transport is highly recommended due to the school’s location.
