ACS International Schools are recruiting a School Nurse for our ACS Cobham International School.

We require a School Nurse to work four days per week on a permanent basis, term time only (42 weeks per year). The Nurse will work under the direction of the Group Lead Nurse as part of a small and friendly team.

The working schedule does not require any evening, weekend or shift work. Therefore, combined with the school holidays, the successful applicant will have only about 37 working weeks per year!

ACS Cobham is a prestigious day and boarding school for students and is located in the beautiful Surrey countryside close to central London. We offer a broad and flexible curriculum including the International Baccalaureate and US programmes, with a wide range of subjects and outstanding facilities catering to different interests across all age groups.

Specific working details:

Location: Cobham, Surrey
Hours: Tuesday – Friday, Tuesday 08:00-16:00, Wednesday 08:00-16:00, Thursday 10:00-18:00 and Friday 08:00-16:00 during term time only
Start date: ASAP

Accountabilities:

  • Care of the sick or Injured
  • Administration
  • Teaching awareness and procedures to staff
  • Child protection
  • Health & safety.

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Registered General Nursing qualification RGN/RSCN
  • Current NMC registration
  • Minimum 3 years post registration experience in nursing preferably with experience of school nursing, health visiting or practice nursing
  • Paediatric and hospital experience is desirable
  • Must be organised and be able to demonstrate that is able to work autonomously
  • Understands and respects the school’s methods of communication
  • Good inter-personal skills and professional confidence
  • Works well in a team and independently
  • Computer literate, excellent record keeping and good organisational skills are vital to this role.
