Marketing Manager (Bilingual)

ACS Doha is looking for a Marketing Manager to join their team. The main purpose of this role is to lead on market insight and ACS’ competitiveness, develop and deliver the local commercial marketing strategy, and forge long-lasting sound commercial relationships and partnerships that will significantly drive ACS enrolment and growth in the market. The key focus over the next few years with the Doha team is to successfully launch and build the new ACS Doha School opening in September 2020. 

Main Responsibilities:
Analyse and develop a deep understanding of ACS Doha customer base through data and parent research and close collaboration with Admissions to establish clarity on parent current and future needs, perceptions and aspirations
Lead the development of accurate, timely and insightful competitor and market insight and share with the Doha community and Head office team to give clarity on external market pressures and news and identify opportunities to strengthen ACS Doha relative proposition 
Collaborate closely with the school leadership team to ensure the market proposition fulfils the needs and aspirations of the market, providing insight where appropriate to steer direction
Provide local insight to leadership team and Head office on pricing for school fees and other potential paid for services ensuring sound commercial principles and market appeal
Own and develop the proposition and insight and competitor section of the annual marketing plan ensuring strategies and plans deliver a strong proposition and competitive advantage
Be an ambassador for ACS Doha in the wider education market in Doha and represent the school at key external events and in key forums
Develop the commercial marketing plan to grow enrolment and brand share in line with the business case for the new school
Deliver through a strong proposition versus competitors, effective partnerships and affiliates plan as part of the overall marketing plan
Search out and establish meaningful relationships with corporates, relocation industry and key players (such as Fifa) to develop and agree reciprocal partnerships and affiliations aimed at driving enrolment and strengthening the school proposition
Contribute as a team member to identifying and developing educational partnerships and pathways for students that have strong customer and market appeal
With the Dean of Admissions, develop and maintain a partnership and affiliates strategy that establishes criteria, enrolment goals, benefits and terms and ensure this remains relevant, practical and beneficial to ACS Doha
Work with the Marketing Officer developing tactical go to market activities and digital marketing to align marketing programmes and ensure a cohesive approach to enrolment programmes
With the Dean of Admissions and Head of Marketing lead generation contribute to enrolment forecasting and planning. Customer experience and communications Following lead from Communications and customer experience manager define ACS Doha customer experience standards and engage with the Leadership team to embed them within the organisation Working with Communications and Customer experience manager create a framework and set guidelines for parent communications, ensuring the schools optimise their suite of communications and manage the end customer experience.
Working with head office approve key school tactical communications e.g. curriculum guides, newsletter templates and establish a forward-planning approval calendar in line with school needs
Brief and manage external suppliers as required and manage budgets as necessary

Ability to negotiate partnerships and affiliations with strong commercial understanding

Strategic thinking skills and ability to interrogate and analyse data and conduct research
Influencer skills and ability to lead internally and work alongside multiple functions

Scope of Job:
Works alongside marketing colleagues in Brand, and Communications in Head office UK 
Works with Principals, teachers and admin teams in each school 
Works with all other departments, including Development, Facilities, Finance, HR and CEO office.

Knowledge and Skills:
Education experience useful
Bilingual (Arabic & English)
Previous local market experience ( 5 years ) Analytical and numerate, with strong commercial acumen Positive ‘can-do’ attitude, able to adapt to changing circumstances and think creatively to resolve problems
People person able to work with many different personalities
Robust, strength of character
Commercial nous

Working Environment: Based at ACS Doha campus with regular travel within Qatar. Works some evenings and weekends as required.
