Submit a copy of your child’s visa

Please provide a copy of your child’s visa to the Admissions department ([email protected]) prior to the first day of school. This document is mandatory in order to attend school and access our school premises.

Our Parent School Organisation (PSO) will be a key partner in your transition to our school, from connecting to your respective Grade(s) or local neighbourhood to sharing essential tips to successfully engage with our various departments or during school-wide events.

We highly recommend you to join your Grade’s WhatsApp group in order to connect with other parents and be kept informed of relevant events thanks to your parents’ representatives.

We operate a comprehensive busing service designed to transport students safely and efficiently between home and school.

For the 2026/27 school year, we offer 8 designated shuttle routes covering 18 selected areas within our school community.

Each route is subject to change depending on demand for the suggested areas.

2026/27 SHUTTLE SERVICE ROUTES

Busing map

Morning buses typically arrive at school by 8:15 a.m., with afternoon buses departing approximately 10 minutes after dismissal.

To ensure timely processing, please submit all bus service requests to the Transport Department by 11 August. Requests submitted after this date may not be accommodated in time for the start of term.

For mid-year enrolments, we will make every effort to include your child in our existing routes; however, please note that availability cannot be guaranteed.

Families living within the shaded Zone 1–3 areas on the map are eligible to apply for our Door-to-Door bus service. This service can be arranged when there is a minimum of six students in the same area. Once established, the bus will stop at each registered household before travelling to school.

Please note that Door-to-Door routes may take longer than shuttle services due to multiple stops.

If a Door-to-Door route already serves your area but is currently full, your child will need to use the shuttle service until a space becomes available.

Door-to-Door buses aim to arrive at school by approximately 8:15 a.m. and depart around 10 minutes after dismissal.

We operate late buses under the following conditions:

• 5.00 p.m from Mondays to Thursdays only for students attending ACS after-school activities.
• 6.00 pm on Mondays and 5.00 p.m on Fridays only for Grade 7 to  Grade 12 students attending ACS Sports activities

The areas covered are limited to our most populated areas. Please understand that Pre-K and Kindergarten students are not allowed to use this service, even if they do have siblings.

Parents are very welcome to drive their children to school. We operate a rolling drop-off system in the mornings and a rolling pick-up system in the afternoons to help keep traffic flowing smoothly.

At pick-up time, we kindly ask that parents give priority to school buses, allowing them to exit the campus first.

For families who wish to walk their children into the Lower School, on-site parking is available.

Student Drivers

Grade 11 & 12 students may drive to school, provided they:

• Have passed their driving test
• Meet all legal requirements for new drivers
• Submit a completed Driving to School Request Form to the Transport department office.

Please note: Permission to drive to school is a privilege granted at the school’s discretion, and may be withdrawn if necessary.

A kind reminder that our regular school days hours are 8.30 a.m to 3.25 p.m except Wednesdays finishing at 2.45 p.m. 

All cars must have a valid school car sticker (see below instructions to get one) to allow our security team to identity you as you enter the campus and avoid any delay at our entrance point. The sticker must be placed in the top right side of your car windscreen.

Families who live in the immediate vicinity to the school are welcome to walk, cycle or push scooter to school. There is an extensive pavement network at Hillingdon, which can allow families to safely travel to school.

To arrange transportation for your child(ren), please contact our Transport Department. They will confirm all relevant details by email—including your assigned bus number, pick-up/drop-off times, and other important information—prior to the first day of school.

Our school busing service is supported by the Vectare application. This platform enables parents to:

• Check you child(ren)’s bus schedule
• Register for busing services and make changes in your bookings
• See the location of your child’s bus on a map when the bus is running
• Notify the transport team if your child will not be taking the bus
• Be informed by the school of any delays or incidents.

Invoices will be issued within two weeks of booking confirmation, with payment due upon receipt (billed per semester).

All vehicles must display a valid school car sticker to assist our security team in identifying authorised vehicles. This helps to ensure a smooth and secure entry process.

Stickers must be clearly displayed on the top right-hand corner of your car windscreen.

To receive a car sticker, you must first register your vehicle for parking via PowerSchool Forms.

You can access the Family campus car pass form by logging into your PowerSchool account and navigating to the “Forms” section.

Once registered, your car sticker can be collected from the security hut at the school entrance or the transportation office during the first week of school by presenting your confirmation email.

If your family does not yet have a permanent address, you are still required to complete the vehicle details in the form. In this case, your sticker will be available for collection from the Transport Office once submitted and by presenting the confirmation email.

Lower School (Pre-K to G4)

Your child’s home room teacher will check daily if he/she requires a school lunch. If so, it will be recorded and charged on ParentPay, the platform used for payment.

In addition to lunch, we ask that students come to school with a healthy snack for daily recess.

Upper School (G5 to G12)

Students who wish to purchase food can do so on an ad hoc basis.

Students simply select what they would like for that day, from breakfast options, snacks, warm meals, salad bar or grab and go options and then pay for their choices via their facial recognition and be charged to their Parent Pay account.

Biometrics are set up either at Orientation or during their first days at school.

For the days where students wish to bring their own lunch from home, they simply bring their lunch with them and eat this in the Cafeteria at lunch time.

Please note:

Please ensure your child’s meal does not contain food items that are not allowed to be brought onto the school site. ACS Hillingdon is a nut and sesame safe school.

We do not have any facilities to heat food for students, such as a microwave.

For our Upper school students (G5 to G12), breakfast options are available from 8.00am to 08.30am daily at our Cafeteria.

It allows students the option to purchase from the following selection (upon availability):

Viennoiserie, Cereal, Bacon roll, Sausage roll , Whole fruit, fruit pot, Yoghurts as well has hot or cold drinks.

For our Upper school students (G5 to G12), morning break options are available from 10.05am to 10.20am daily at our cafeteria.

It allows students the option to purchase snacks during this short period,from the following selection (upon availability):

Bagels, Pizza steak slice waffles, Hash brown, English muffin, Toasties

For Lower School, students are invited to bring their own water bottle and two snacks daily.

Internationalism doesn’t stop in the classrooms, we also infuse our student’s curiosity through food and during lunch time.

Menus are usually shared on your respective grade WhatsApp group quarterly for your review and a different cuisine is cooked daily by our fantastic in house kitchen!

Prior to your child’s first day you will receive a letter from our finance department with login instructions and a unique code to register with ParentPay.

Once your ParentPay account is created, you will need to add funds to enable your child to purchase meals as needed.

We use biometric and facial recognition systems in the school cafeteria for security and to ensure your child can purchase food securely and efficiently.

It allows our staff to quickly identify your child’s ParentPay account and are instantly adjusted.

Our biometric data system functions similarly to a smartphone or tablet and does not store any physical fingerprints.

As a school, we will endeavour to cater for as many dietary requirements as we can accommodate. If your child does have any dietary requirements, please ensure these are declared via Forms. We are able to offer Halal food via our school catering offering and this, upon request.

We cater for individuals with almost all dietary requirements, gluten free, dairy free, vegan etc on request.

Lunch will take place daily at the following times:

• From Pre-K to Grade 4:  from 11.30 am to 11.55 am
• Grades 5-8 from 12.25 pm to 13.20 pm
• Grades 9-12 from 13.05 pm to 14.00 pm

Clubs are fantastic co-curricular activities either led by students or teachers. A great way for students to share their talents, foster team spirit and maybe embrace a new passion!

The list of clubs available for 2026/27 school year will be shared one the school year has started.

Students in Grades 1 to 8 can join a variety of fee-based after-school activities offered by external providers to extend their learning and explore new interests.

The ASA (After School Activities) programme offers a holistic and diverse range of activities beyond sports and the activities are run by external organisations and are fee based. Prices can be found on the registration form.

The first season will run from Tuesday 1st September to the Thursday 12th November 2026.

Two more seasons will follow later in the year:

• Season 2 –  Monday 16th November 2026 to Thursday 8th March 2027.
• Season 3 – Monday 12th March to 17th June 2027.

The catalogue of activities for the 2026/27 school year will be shared when finalised.

Enrolment is ongoing and in most activities subject to space. If there is insufficient enrolment in an activity, it may be cancelled.

Creative Arts at ACS Hillingdon encompasses lunchtime music clubs, performing arts showcases, including the annual school production, and a 1:1 music tuition programme.

Additionally, Dance is offered as a Sport (above).

Available for students in Grades 1 to Grade 10, this programme supports those who are exposed to a second language at home. Designed to maintain and develop linguistic skills, sessions are free of charge and held once a week after school. Registration can be arranged on a per-term basis.

Classes begin during the first week of September. If your child is participating in other extra-curricular activities, please check the school timetable before registering for HLE to avoid scheduling clashes.

School Counsellors work closely with staff, families, and external professionals, offering individual or group sessions, and guiding students through challenges with care and confidentiality (except where safety is a concern).

Eileen Keane, Lower School

Eileen Keane supports students in PreK to Grade 7 through individual and group counselling, PSHE lessons, and student leadership opportunities such as Student Council and Peer Mentors. She uses a cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused approach and is currently training as a Play Therapist to better support younger students through a play-based therapeutic approach.

Originally from Virginia, Eileen joined ACS Hillingdon in 2018 after working in Fairfax County Public Schools. She holds a Master’s in Education & Human Development from The George Washington University and has been a licensed School Counsellor since 2012.  Eileen is also a Therapeutic Play Practitioner.

As Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, she works closely with staff and families to support student wellbeing and development.

Bernadette Richards, Upper School

Every young person deserves to feel understood, safe and supported to thrive, wherever their journey takes them in a global world, and whatever experiences they bring with them.

Bernadette Richards supports students in Grades 8 to 12 as a School Counsellor, Deputy Safeguarding Lead, Mental Health First Aider, and Trauma-Informed Practitioner. With over 20 years of experience, she specialises in supporting young people experiencing anxiety, mental health challenges, and behaviours linked to underlying emotional needs.

Originally from Singapore, Bernadette trained as a special educational needs teacher with a specialism in autism at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology of Education from University College London (UCL) and is currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Psychology and Human Development at UCL, focusing on the wellbeing and experiences of transnational students.

Bernadette is passionate about helping young people develop psychological flexibility, build resilience, and thrive within a diverse global community.

In Lower School, iPads are provided to students for in-school use. Students are expected to treat their devices with extreme care. Students should report any loss, damage, or malfunction to their classroom teacher immediately. Families are financially accountable for any damage resulting from negligence or misuse. Any member of staff can ask to look at or check any device at any time.

All interest activity on student iPads is monitored and filtered for student safety.

In Grades 5 to 8 of Upper School, iPads (along with an integrated keyboard case, screen protector, charger plug and charging cable) are provided to students for use at home and at school. Students are expected to treat their devices with extreme care. Students should report any loss, damage, or malfunction to the IT Office immediately. Families are financially accountable for any damage resulting from negligence or misuse. If an iPad is lost or stolen, the police should be contacted and the specific incident number given to the IT office. Any member of staff can ask to look at or check any device at any time.

All internet activity on student iPads is monitored and filtered for student safety.

Please note that students in Grades 9–12 are expected to bring their Apple laptop device to school each day.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The school permits the use of personal mobile phones, wearable devices, tablets, and other portable electronic equipment on school premises.

However, access is considered a privilege, not a right, and any misuse will result in consequences.

For students up to Grade 10, personal devices must be kept in a locker and are not to be used during the school day between 8.30am- 3.30pm. In Grades 9-12, students must not use personal devices during class unless instructed to do so in special circumstances.

The school is not responsible for the loss, damage or theft of any personal device. Users are responsible for ensuring that all personal devices brought into school have no inappropriate or illegal content on the device. At no time are any portable devices to be used in any bathroom or changing room.

Personal portable electronic equipment with cameras should not be seen or used in pavilion 3 (the early childhood area building) unless there are exceptional circumstances; e.g. parents photographing special events, presentations in the classroom.

ACS will not tolerate the use of any technology for illegal, offensive or inappropriate activities and any incidents will lead to consequences. The school cannot legislate for every eventuality and therefore cannot provide an exact consequence for each incident.

How to Sign In

Sign-in details for PowerSchool SIS will be sent to parents via email and usually early July (for August starters) or up to a 1 week prior to your starting date for late admissions.

For Admitted students during the school year, you will likely receive after you join the school and once your child has started to attend.

Report Cards are scheduled to be available on the following dates via PowerSchool SIS:

• Semester 1 reports: February 2027
