ACS Hillingdon opens bursary programme to local families
ACS International School Hillingdon accepts applications from local families for its 2022/23 bursary programme, enabling a number of young people to receive subsidised or fully-funded places at the school.
The school is offering Middle School bursaries for students aged 11 or 13 entering Grades 6 and 8 (equivalent to UK Years 7 and 9), as well as High School bursaries for students aged 16 entering Grade 11 (equivalent to UK Year 12). High School applicants will have the opportunity to study the DP, and will be predicted to achieve in the region of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at level 7, in order to receive the bursary.
ACS Hillingdon bursaries are offered to students who are most likely to benefit from an ACS education, but whose family circumstances mean they cannot meet the full school fees. All bursaries are means-tested and range from 10% of tuition fees up to 100% for families most in need. Financial awards are offered for up to seven years. ACS International Schools currently has 4O students from local families who receive a bursary from one of its three UK schools at Hillingdon, Egham and Cobham, and has invested over £1million in this scheme to date.
An ACS parent who received bursary support commented:
“I am truly thankful to ACS for providing my children with such great opportunities, not only to continue learning, but also prospering, building confidence and resilience which will enable them to reach their full potential in their future.”
Martin Hall, Head of School, ACS Hillingdon, comments: “Our mission at ACS Hillingdon is to encourage every student to be an effective learner, a confident individual and a caring contributor. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of this mission, and through our bursary programme, we want to ensure that all students who would benefit from the ACS way of thinking and learning is given the opportunity to do so. The students who are selected for the bursary programme will add to our diversity, with fresh perspectives, and we all benefit as a result. Each of our students benefits by having diverse classmates to learn with and befriend.”
