For our IB Diploma Students, there are opportunities to maintain and develop their home language(s) through School Support Self-Taught Literature courses, one of the pathways that can lead toward the IB Bilingual Diploma.
Many languages are supported by after school Home Language Enrichment opportunities.
Language fluency grows through interactions with peers. Our extensive programme of co-curricular activities (including competitive sports teams, performing arts productions, and volunteering with the community) provides opportunities for students to practise English in engaging, real-world settings.
Achieving Excellence in AP, IBDP and Beyond
The EAL programme helps students succeed in AP, IBDP, and IBCP courses by improving their academic English skills and supporting their literacy in their home language(s). As a result, our multilingual students achieve high academic success.
Every year, graduates go on to attend top universities in the UK, the US, and around the world.
Who is the EAL Programme For?
The EAL programme is designed for motivated students joining ACS Hillingdon who have a broad range of English language proficiency. It is available to qualified students who are ready to engage in academic and co-curricular activities, contribute to our multilingual community, and succeed in rigorous academic courses, including an opportunity to earn the prestigious IB Bilingual Diploma.
