We are looking for a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team at ACS Cobham. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in delivering high-quality breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, as well as supporting events and contributing to menu innovation.
You will work closely with the Senior Chef and wider kitchen brigade to ensure exceptional food standards, smooth service delivery, and a safe, organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Service:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of all food services, including events.
- Maintain consistently high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Support the smooth running of kitchen operations during service.
- Act as a key point of contact for kitchen assistants during service.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
- Uphold strict food hygiene and safety standards in line with HACCP procedures.
- Ensure compliance with COSHH and Health & Safety regulations.
- Complete daily cleaning schedules and maintain a clean, safe kitchen.
- Follow all kitchen procedures and food safety protocols.
Teamwork & Leadership:
- Work collaboratively with the Catering Manager, Head Chef, and front-of-house teams.
- Support and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Maintain clear communication regarding menus, allergens, and special dietary requirements.
- Assist across kitchen sections as needed.
Stock Control & Cost Management:
- Support stock ordering, rotation, and storage procedures.
- Assist in managing food costs and achieving GP targets.
- Ensure accurate labelling and safe storage of all ingredients.
Sustainability & Improvement:
- Contribute to reducing waste and improving kitchen efficiency
- Support sustainable kitchen practices and responsible sourcing.
About You
Essential requirements:
- City & Guilds Level 2 (or equivalent NVQ/Diploma).
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar kitchen environment.
- Experience maintaining high food quality and presentation standards.
- Knowledge of allergen management and food labelling compliance.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A positive, team-focused attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Already based in the UK, with ability to commute or relocate.
Desirable requirements:
- Experience in high-volume, fresh food kitchens.
- Menu development experience.
- Stock control and ordering experience.
- HACCP implementation experience.
- Own transport (due to location).
