Programmes by campus

The AP Capstone is currently offered at ACS Cobham. AP Capstone, built on the two-year High School sequence of AP Seminar and AP Research, is designed to complement and enhance the in-depth, discipline-specific learning of other AP courses.

At ACS Egham, we are an all through International Baccalaureate (IB) school, offering all four IB programmes, with alternative pathways available for those not looking to do the full IB diploma. As a result, we do not offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses at this campus. AP courses are offered at ACS Cobham and ACS Hillingdon.

We offer the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) at two of our campuses, ACS Egham and ACS Hillingdon. At ACS Egham, students follow the Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Business, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, which is equivalent to two IB Higher Level subjects. The qualification is assessed through a combination of internal coursework and formal examinations. At ACS Hillingdon, students follow the IB Career-related study with the choice of studying either Theatre Arts or Digital Arts, including game design, animation, film, and visual effects (VFX).

All three of our schools are IB World Schools, which means we are authorised by the IB to offer one or more of its four rigorous programmes.

ACS Egham offers all four International Baccalaureate programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), and the Career-related Programme (CP).

For students aged 16-18, ACS Cobham and ACS Hillingdon offer the IB Diploma Programme, and ACS Hillingdon also offers the IB Career-related Programme.

Our team is here to help you explore our different programmes and advise you on which pathway will best suit your child’s learning style and interests. Throughout the admissions process, students will work closely with university counsellors and curriculum coordinators to ensure that they are on the best pathway for them.

We offer personal tours year-round, along with regular open days where you can meet with our admissions and faculty teams. For those unable to attend in person, we offer zoom calls.

Yes –  both the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) qualifications are accepted by universities around the world.

Yes – the IB is specifically designed for internationally mobile families, so students can join from a wide range of educational backgrounds. The curriculum emphasises transferable skills, inquiry-based learning and global perspectives, helping children settle quickly whether they are moving from another IB school, a different national curriculum, or relocating from overseas.

Many UK families also choose the IB as a refreshing alternative to GCSEs and A-Levels because of its breadth, academic rigour, and strong focus on independent thinking, intercultural understanding and student wellbeing.

Students joining from Advanced Placement (AP) programmes are equally well supported. While AP typically offers individual subject courses rather than a fully integrated programme like the IB, the academic skills it develops – such as critical thinking, independent study and subject depth – transfer very well.

We also understand that families may relocate again in the future. Our team has extensive experience supporting smooth transitions both into the UK system and back to schools overseas, ensuring students leave with the preparation, documentation and guidance needed for a confident next step.
