Finding a home
Finding appropriate housing is one of the major challenges facing relocating families.
Given advance notice and information on family requirements, the ACS Housing Officers can arrange a suitable selection of properties, and accompany families on viewings. ACS Housing Officers only work for ACS families. We are not associated with, or remunerated by any outside agency. The service is free.
Town or country?
When looking at areas to live, there are a great number of benefits to be gained by looking at locations outside of London. ACS Hillingdon has a broad catchment area, and historic towns such as Beaconsfield, Chalfont St Peter, or Gerrards Cross are all well within the school's extensive busing zone. Housing tends to be cheaper here than in Central London, with much larger houses and gardens for your money. Plus the quality of life in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas is excellent. There are a range of attractions including the beautiful Chiltern Hills, historic stately homes such as Clivedon House and Windsor Castle, as well as a variety of excellent shopping and leisure centres.
Regular train services ensure that commuting to Central London is extremely practical, with typical train journeys from Gerrards Cross or Beaconsfield to London Marylebone of around 20 to 30 minutes respectively. There is also easy access from these areas to Heathrow and motorways including the M3, M4, M25 and M40, making travelling that much easier.
The ACS Hillingdon Transportation Department works closely with families to transport their children safely and efficiently between home and school.
