ACS Hillingdon is a home to a diverse international community united by the purpose of inspiring the world’s next global thinkers and doers. As a charity, our Annual Fund ensures talented students can access an ACS education through bursaries, allowing these students to thrive.
The Annual fund helps create an immediate resource that directly enhances the teaching and learning environment, and which can be realised within the current academic year. All donations – regardless of the amount – make a positive impact and demonstrate a belief in our mission. The success of the annual fund will only be met with your support and participation.
Why give?
Bursaries that transform lives
On average, 45 students a year across ACS receive bursary support – including 17 this year at Hillingdon. These bursaries open doors, enrich our classrooms with new perspectives, and give talented young people the chance to succeed at leading universities worldwide.
Miriam credits her ACS bursary with “expanding my horizon of what was possible.” Her time at ACS Hillingdon changed the trajectory of her life – and that of her family. “Teachers inspired me, challenged me, and believed in me. The student counsellors provided unparalleled, personalised support. That level of care and belief stayed with me.”
After two years at ACS Hillingdon, Miriam secured a place to study medicine at Bart’s and The London, graduating as a doctor in July 2023. Miriam is now preparing for the next phase of her training as a specialist, with plans to pursue Paediatrics, Obstetrics, or General Practice, carrying forward the same dedication and compassion that ACS nurtured in her.
Being a doctor allows me to be at the forefront of life-changing care every day. I feel incredibly fulfilled in my work, and I know without a doubt that I would not be where I am today if not for the bursary that allowed me to attend ACS. I am deeply grateful to the donors who made it possible—your generosity truly transformed my life.
