ACS Hillingdon Celebrates Two Perfect 45/45 IB Scores

An extraordinary academic achievement sees two members of the Class of 2026 achieve the maximum possible IB Diploma score: 45 out of 45.

ACS Hillingdon is celebrating an exceptional achievement following the release of this year’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results: two members of the Class of 2026 have achieved a perfect score of 45/45.

ACS Hillingdon Students Achieve Perfect 45/45 IB Diploma Scores

Following the announcement that Rudra, ACS Hillingdon’s Salutatorian, had achieved the maximum possible IB score, the school is delighted to announce that Ryan, our Valedictorian, has also achieved 45/45. A score of 45 is the absolute maximum available in the IB Diploma Programme. It requires students to achieve the highest grade of 7 across all six subjects, alongside the maximum three points available from the programme’s core components, including Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay, and completion of CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service).

With more than 209,000 students worldwide receiving IB Diploma and Career-related Programme results from the May 2026 examination session, achieving a perfect 45 is a remarkable accomplishment and puts both students in the top 0.2% globally to achieve such an outcome.

Perfect IB Scores Lead to Top UK Universities

Rudra and Ryan have not only achieved the highest possible IB score, but are now preparing to take their academic journeys to two of the UK’s leading universities. Rudra will study Politics and Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and Ryan will study Medicine at University College London (UCL).

Both students have demonstrated exceptional academic commitment throughout their time at ACS Hillingdon, combining intellectual ambition with the breadth, independence and critical thinking that the IB Diploma is designed to develop. Both students have also extensively contributed to student life through National Honor Society, MUN, and in various student leadership roles.

Outstanding IB Results Across the Class of 2026

The academic excellence doesn’t stop there.

Two of ACS Hillingdon’s highest-achieving female graduates, Tanisi and Yara, have each achieved an outstanding 43/45 in the IB Diploma Programme. Tanisi will study Accounting and Finance at LSE, while Yara will study Law at King’s College London (KCL).

Together, these four graduates represent part of an exceptional academic cohort, a cohort where a remarkable 40% of the year group achieved 40+ points out of 45: the equivalent of 4 A*s at A-Level.

A perfect IB score is however more than the number. It represents two years of sustained academic excellence, intellectual curiosity, resilience and an extraordinary level of commitment across the full Diploma Programme.

Our students have experienced and gained a great deal more than just top results.

The breadth of their learning, required by all our educational pathways, is impressive (and very different from the narrowness imposed by the antiquated and limiting A-level system). The confidence, cultural dexterity and social adaptability that these young people show is a direct consequence of learning alongside peers from diverse national and social backgrounds. And the deep understanding and erudition developed through courses such as Theory of Knowledge (taken by all IB Diploma students) will serve them well throughout their lives.

Above all, we see, day by day, our young people emerging as balanced, interesting and capable people who are ready to make an impact.
