ACS Cobham opens bursaries to local families

ACS Cobham is now accepting bursary applications from local families for its 2022/23 bursary programme, enabling a number of young people to receive subsidised or fully-funded places at the school.

ACS Cobham is currently home to 1,300 students (aged 2 to 18), and 300 expert faculty and staff; a community representing over 70 different nationalities. The school has a strong international and multi-cultural ethos, and offers a world-renowned curriculum built on the best global standards. Based in the heart of Surrey, ACS Cobham has a 128-acre leafy green campus, complete with outstanding learning, sports and arts facilities.

The school is offering Middle School bursaries for students aged 11 or 13 entering Grades 6 and 8 (equivalent to UK Years 7 and 9), as well as High School bursaries for students aged 16 entering Grade 11 (equivalent to UK Year 12). High School applicants will have the opportunity to study the highly regarded International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP), and will be predicted to achieve in the region of five GCSEs (or equivalent) at level 7, in order to receive the bursary.

ACS Cobham bursaries are offered to students who are most likely to benefit from an ACS education, but whose family circumstances mean they cannot meet the full school fees. All bursaries are means-tested and range from 10% of tuition fees up to 100% for families most in need. Financial awards are offered for up to seven years. ACS International Schools currently has 4O students from local families who receive a bursary from one of its three UK schools in Hillingdon, Egham and Cobham, and has invested over £1million in this scheme to date.

An ACS parent who received bursary support commented:

“I am truly thankful to ACS for providing my children with such great opportunities, not only to continue learning, but also prospering, building confidence and resilience which will enable them to reach their full potential in their future.”

Barnaby Sandow, Head of School, ACS Cobham, comments: “We are committed to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of global thinkers and doers. Through our educational offering, we aim to equip our young people with the knowledge and skills they need to understand the world they live in, in readiness to rise to its many challenges! Our school fosters a community of international diversity and inclusion, and, with this in mind, we are committed to widening access to our school’s offering through our bursary programme. If you think your child would not only thrive in but add to our challenging, yet supportive, environment, please apply now.”

The application window for the 2022/23 bursary programme is open from now until 22 November 2021.
