Lower School students have a balanced timetable including mathematics, literacy, science, social studies and PSHE. They also have a variety of opportunities alongside this to work in specialist rooms such as music, drama, art, world languages, PE, and Forest School. These classes are woven into their units of enquiry to make meaningful connections and explore complex concepts through transdisciplinary learning experiences and spaces.
The variety of backgrounds, cultures, and languages enriches our learning and makes for an interesting and lively environment. Working in the Primary Years Programme has enabled me to grow as an enquiry teacher and puts the children at the centre of everything that we do. We learn together on a beautiful campus where we can take the students’ learning outdoors in our Forest School sites or the fields surrounding the school.
