Mark Wilson

Head of School

Mark Wilson has been teaching and leading schools for over 27 years. He started his career in the UK before moving into International Education by joining Nord Anglia Education in 2009 at The British International School Shanghai as a Headteacher. Mark then moved to the US and was Head of School at The British International School of Houston.

Mark trained as a Drama teacher and has taught a range of subjects over the years at GCSE, A Level, BTEC and IBDP. He still teaches Theory of Knowledge on the IB Programme.

Inspiring others to learn and grow is one of Mark’s passions and, throughout his career, he has been privileged to be involved in teacher training, working with a variety of universities and providers including, Middlesex, Nottingham and Sunderland Universities as well as the Royal Academy of Dance. Mark was fortunate to have worked for the UK Department of Education Innovations Unit on Leadership projects. Within Nord Anglia Education he taught or coached on the NAE Middle Leaders and the NEA Senior Leaders courses and wrote and facilitated the Americas Aspiring Leaders programme.

Alison grew up in England and studied German and Italian at Warwick University. After teaching German in Nottingham, she moved to Weimar in 2007 to teach English in the IBPYP and IBMYP programmes at the Thuringia International School (ThIS). Since then, Alison has held numerous positions of responsibility and leadership including the coordination of the school’s work as a member of the Association of German International Schools, as IBPYP Coordinator and as Lower School Principal.

During her time in Weimar, Alison saw the school grow and move into a purpose-built campus, she nurtured and developed a team of classroom and specialist teachers to deliver a challenging and inclusive IBPYP experience to their students and she completed her Master’s in Education. Able to think and work in both German and English, Alison models international mindedness and she maintains her balance by contributing to the after-school sports programme, reading widely, and running.

Luci is an experienced education professional with a strong focus on inclusive leadership and transformative practices. With a robust background spanning over two decades, Luci has honed her skills in various educational settings, including international schools in Abu Dhabi, Japan, and Brazil.

Luci holds a Master’s degree (MA) in Creative Writing and is currently pursuing a PhD in Education and Social Justice, reflecting her dedication to lifelong learning. Her expertise lies in areas such as the IB Curriculum, staff development, student-centred learning, and special education.

As a leader, Luci is known for her innovative approach and collaborative spirit. In her previous roles, including Head of School Improvement and Whole School Principal for Wellbeing, she has spearheaded initiatives to enhance student support, teaching effectiveness, and school culture transformation.

Luci’s commitment to inclusivity is evident in her extensive involvement in professional networks and presentations on topics such as diversity, inclusion, and data-driven differentiation. Her contributions to the field of Education have been recognised through various publications and presentations, reflecting her passion for driving positive change.

Suzanne Ingham

Suzanne has over a decade of experience in the education sector, with a focus on admissions and fostering strong community ties. Serving as the Dean of Admissions, she has a passion for guiding families through the pivotal decision-making process of choosing the right educational path for their children.

Suzanne’s journey began in a Primary School office in 2010, and since then, she has seamlessly transitioned into specialised roles within diverse educational environments, including both British boarding and day-school settings and traditional preparatory schools for boys. Her extensive tenure has equipped her with an intimate understanding of the intricate nuances of the independent education landscape, allowing her to provide tailored support to families from across the globe.

At the heart of Suzanne’s role lies a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a deep appreciation for the advantages of an IB education. Her international experience has enriched her ability to connect with families from diverse backgrounds, offering personalised guidance to meet their unique needs.

Beyond facilitating admissions, Suzanne finds immense fulfilment in building enduring relationships within the ACS Egham community, witnessing students flourish, and empowering families to feel truly embraced within the school’s vibrant ethos.
