ACS Egham students and staff have a genuine drive for excellence. We prize holistic education, internationalism and communication.
ACS Egham Upper School students follow the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) before choosing between the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or the International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP).
It is an education framework designed to develop both learning and life skills, providing a seamless, globally recognised route to success – both in and out of the classroom.
The IB Programme
IB Middle Years Programme (IBMYP)
The IBMYP develops critical thinking and challenges students to reflect on their learning experience. The programme encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world within a framework of eight subject groups.
IB Diploma Programme (IBDP)
The IBDP fosters critical thinking and independent learning in students. The IBDP assesses more than just examination techniques, it encourages a breadth and depth of learning that students can carry forward.
IB Career-related Programme (IBCP)
The IBCP encourages students to specialise in an area of choice. Students are prepared for career-specific pathways, and their academic research and communication skills are developed through the Reflective Project.
