ACS Egham celebrates graduating class of 2018
Students from ACS Egham International School celebrated their final year and academic achievements at a graduation ceremony attended by over 450 family members, friends and staff.
56 students, aged between 17 – 18 years, have just completed their International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, an internationally recognised pre-university qualification that will allow them to continue their studies at universities worldwide.
The ceremony also included awards recognising the students’ outstanding achievements throughout their time at ACS Egham. The Founders’ Award was received by Sonia Ali and celebrates her
academic achievement, contribution to school life, service to others and exceptional leadership.
Jeremy Lewis, Head Teacher at ACS Egham, said:
The ceremony was a great success and I was honored to welcome family and friends to be part of the students’ celebrations. The commitment each student has shown during their time at Egham is a really testament to them. I am looking forward to seeing what other great things each student will achieve in the future.
The guest speaker at the graduation ceremony was Dorothy Dix, Founder of Creating Better Futures; a charity that provides support to orphans and vulnerable children in Africa.
Her speech covered her experience as an IB graduate herself and how it gave her to skills to strive for things she never thought possible, and to become a life changer in future careers.
