We provide a housing service to help new families with finding a home. Our Housing Officer, Aileen Magee, has a thorough knowledge of local housing agents and the locations that work best for our families. Using her local knowledge and by carefully listening to families' needs, she can help to point you in the right direction in finding homes conveniently located for the commute and to the school.

Cobham is popular as an attractive family neighbourhood because it has many private estates and small “cul-de sac” areas, which are safe for children to play. House rental prices range from £2,000 to £15,000 per month. This price range provides a wide variety of rental houses to suit all tastes and budgets. The added advantage is that it is very close to ACS Cobham so many families will walk or cycle to school.

The Crown Estate offers executive homes within a setting of space and greenery. Smaller clusters of fine homes link to the A244, which runs between Esher and Leatherhead. This exclusive estate houses some of the most opulent housing in the United Kingdom. If privacy is an important factor, then St Georges Hill is an ideal location for your family with its 24-hour security. It also has a Golf and Tennis Club within the estate.

Walton on Thames
The sizeable town centre has a small shopping mall offering many global brands and smaller boutiques. As the name suggests Walton on Thames offers riverside walks, boating and the Walton Bridge allows convenient access to the north.
Aside from two large private estates, there are very good residential roads and some smaller gated communities. Many are within walking distance to the town centre and the train station. Walton is a 20-minute drive to ACS Cobham.
Burwood Park & Ashley Park, in Walton on Thames
Burwood Park is a private estate situated approximately 5 miles from ACS and close to the train station. Executive and family homes can be found within the Park and are surrounded by woodland. Ashley Park is approximately 6 miles from ACS and is also close to the train station. It has some very fine housing for the executive family home renter.

Other Locations Popular with ACS Families
Most of our surrounding towns have good links by train and roads to the centre of London, so the choices are many. We are also fortunate in that Surrey is regarded as one of the safest counties in England and crime is relatively low in most areas
Some examples of other popular towns populated by ACS families:
North of ACS Cobham:
Claygate, Thames Ditton & East Molesey
Pleasant towns with a traditional feel. Each has character housing and many executive homes suitable for families with varying budgets. The town centres are small and friendly with traces of their village pasts.
Kingston-upon-Thames & Surbiton
Both towns are fairly built up and quite busy. There are many Victorian homes and new developments tend to be apartments and town houses. The fast trains from Surbiton will take you to London in 17-19 minutes. Kingston is a major shopping location with restaurants and bars by the riverside.
Wimbledon, Putney, Barnes and Richmond
This is London living with the bonus of green open spaces and parkland. These towns enjoy excellent shopping, theatres and London Underground links. Rental prices are higher but for those who enjoy a metropolitan lifestyle, you will find fine Victorian and 1930’s homes set in tree-lined avenues.
South of ACS Cobham:
Leatherhead, Woking, Byfleet & Epsom
If you are looking to make your rental budget go a little bit further then these towns and surrounding areas offer excellent value for money. Byfleet and Leatherhead have good homes near intimate town centres and both have conveniently located train stations. Leatherhead also provides a direct train line to London Victoria. Woking is a large town with outlying residential locations such as Pyrford, Hook and Knaphill. The train from Woking takes just 28 minutes to London Waterloo. Epsom town centre offers a good shopping centre, cinema and many restaurants. Home to the Epsom Derby, walks and kite flying on Epsom downs racecourse are a must!
Horsley, Fetcham and Ashtead
If you appreciate character homes in a semi-rural setting then take a look at these “villages” a stone’s throw from Surrey’s beautiful market town of Dorking.
