Opening our doors to more families: New fees for Lower School and Academic Scholarships
From August 2027, ACS Egham will introduce new Lower School fees, extended after-school provision for younger children and Academic Scholarships for students entering the IB Diploma Programme.
We are delighted to announce a series of changes designed to give more families the opportunity to experience an ACS Egham education, while offering greater flexibility and recognising exceptional academic potential.
From August 2027, our new annual Lower School fees for children aged 3 to 11 (Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5) will be:
- Pre-Kindergarten: £15,600
- Kindergarten to Grade 2: £18,900
- Grades 3 to 5: £24,300
These fees will apply to both current and new families.
Explaining the thinking behind the changes, Mark Wilson, Head of ACS Egham, said: “We want more of the families who live on our doorstep to choose Egham. Setting our fees against local schools that families already compare us with means more local children can grow up here, alongside friends from more than 40 countries.”
More flexibility for families
Alongside the new fees, we are extending our after-school provision to give families greater flexibility. From August 2027, JAG Club will run until 6pm for children from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5, making it easier for parents to balance the school day with working commitments. The service will remain optional and will be charged separately.
Introducing the ACS Egham Academic Scholarship
We are also launching a new Academic Scholarship for students entering Grade 11 and beginning the IB Diploma Programme in August 2027. Open to both existing ACS Egham students and those joining from other schools, the scholarship will recognise not only exceptional academic promise, but also outstanding leadership, service and contributions to school life.
As Mark Wilson explains, academic achievement is just one part of what makes a student stand out:
“Grades open the door. What happens after that depends on the habits of mind a student brings with them. The students people remember are the ones who’ve found their voice and want to learn how best to use it, who start something, stand up for something or bring other people with them.”
The first scholarships will be awarded to students starting the IB Diploma in August 2027, with applications closing on 6 January 2027. The scholarship is a separate award and does not affect the school’s existing admissions criteria.
“Anyone can join us,” Mr Wilson said. “The scholarship is a separate award for students who are ready to take on more.”

A strong foundation for university and beyond
The new scholarships build on ACS Egham’s strong record of academic achievement and the opportunities offered by the IB Diploma Programme.
This year, our IB Diploma students achieved an average of 34 points, compared with a global average of 30. 56% of our leavers progressing to UK universities secured places at Russell Group institutions, including Durham, UCL, Imperial College London, King’s College London and Edinburgh.
The value of the IB Diploma is also recognised by university admissions officers. In a survey of admissions officers at 50 UK universities, more than two-thirds rated the qualification as the best preparation for university.
