Deadline approaching for ACS International Schools bursary applications

Female student smiles in the sunshine

ACS International Schools is offering bursaries to children aged 11+, 13+ and 16+ at its three UK campuses in Cobham, Egham and Hillingdon for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Entries must be submitted by Thursday 13 December via the schools’ website, here.

Bursaries are offered to students who will benefit most from an ACS education, including the world-renowned International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, but might not otherwise be able to attend the school.

The financial awards will range from ten per cent to 100 per cent of the schools’ fees, with all bursaries awarded on a means-tested basis and dependent on the student’s circumstance.

This programme represents a £2.2 million financial commitment by ACS over the next seven years for recipient students and are made as part of ACS International Schools recent transition to a charitable entity.

Riya Kaur, a previous ACS bursary student, now studying law at School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, comments:

I would encourage anyone who is considering applying for the ACS bursary programme to do so. Being able to attend ACS was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I am so grateful for the opportunity this programme has given me.

“It allowed me to be somewhere where my culture was celebrated and I was supported throughout my studies, helping me go onto university – something I’m not sure I would have had the chance to do before attending ACS.

“Every person I have come across at ACS has the desire to affect the world in a positive way, and it’s a very special thing to have been a part of,” Riya continues.
