ACS Cobham breaks records at ISA National Swimming Finals
Swimmers from ACS International School Cobham represented the victorious London West team at the ISA National Swimming Finals at the London Aquatics Centre, winning the annual event with a total of 466 points.
There were approximately 1,350 swimmers, spectators and volunteers in attendance for the 56th ISA National Swimming Finals for U9 – 18 boys and girls, and ACS Cobham swimmers were awarded a total of 29 medals on the day. The team scooped 20 gold and eight silver medals plus one bronze in events ranging from Year 5 Boys 50m Breaststroke to Year 11-13 Girls 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay.
Nicholas H., a Grade 8 student from ACS Cobham, was part of two relay teams that broke ISA National records at the event. Nicholas recorded excellent times of 02:14.57 and 01:57.59 in the Year 8 Boys Swimming 4 x 50m Freestyle and Medley relays respectively. Teammate Calvin GS. (Grade 10) also achieved a record-breaking time in the Year 11-13 Boys 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay.
I’d like to thank our coaching team for volunteering and leading the London West team to victory. Our swimmers have remained dedicated to their training throughout the pandemic and their success in the pool at the ISA Finals is testament to their commitment and enthusiasm for the sport. We’re looking forwarding to seeing our swimmers continue to progress and achieve success.
